Does anyone know anything about skunks as pets. I heard they make good pets and are very friendly.

They can make very good pets,a lot like a rat and cat mixed. They can be trained to go in a litter box and can be very friendly. Just make sure you get them from a good breeder and that they are "de-skunked", in other words that their spray glands have been removed, even a tame skunk can become startled enough to spray. Also get them young, they can be harder to tame if they are older. And trim their claws! they can get really sharp. Other than that just do your reaserch. Good luck.

skunks can be destructive if they are`nt kept in check, you need alot of time to look after them until they can give a nasty bite i do`nt know about the US but here in the UK it is illeagle to decent a skunk it comes under the same law as docking dogs tails law

any animal will bite if mistreated or provocted , my chair is just my transport, i have a voice of my own
