Question someeee really good advice from you rat lovers would help!

So, i got another rat he's a big black rat. black and white. the guy told me he was an adult but he's not sure because he breeds them for his snakes so they getfed dog food and grow really fast. so. lol. i don't know what to do. he had him in with females so i bathed him when i got home and he's in my old gerbils cagge which i know is too small but it's all ive got right now. i want to put him with Winston but i need the best ways to go about this.
and i also need advice on how to wean him from dog food onto my rat pellets?

why he fed dog food, i couldn't tell you. he had babys that weren't supposed to be weaned yet, like they weren't old enough, and they were huge for their "age". Easton is adorable, i just need a little help. he's really friendly

info

there is alot of people that feed dog food to rats it does have a lot of protein in it to help them grow ,If i were you i would mix dog food with the rat pellets you feed and see if he starts to eat the rat food .
I feed my asf's a mixture of dog,cat food as well as rodent pellets, seeds, fruit ,veggies, ect so try mixing that

rat

Are they getting along? And if the one you just got is younger yours may try to help it and it may turn out that they become the best friends but i would keep an eye on them to make sure no one gets hurt

Sounds like you have young males...they can often be put together, as soon as they hit a certain age it can get seriously tricky and even a bit dangerous. we need pics of your 2 though
