start of a tumor?

so I was holding Louna, and I can feel a pearl sized (a bit bigger) ball right under one of her nipples, the one closest to her armpit...
.
Is that how a mammary tumor starts? I'm going to make sure and see if it grows... or is it just a gland i can feel and sometimes their gland swells for no reason?
.
I think for a tumor anyway the best is to wait until it's uncomfortable and then decide to remove it if it's not too dangerous for the rattie, right?
