Very VERY hyper.

UGH! David..the blonde dude of our mice, is so hyper. It's a PAIN to try and get hum out of the cage, he runs all over the bars like a mad man--I never realized how FAST they are. Today he actually took a flying leap when my sister tried to get him and got out for about 5 minutes..lucky Sunny wasn't out >_o. Whenever I DO manage to get him out, whether it be running around on my shoulders or just on my desk-he's ALL OVER! Are some mice just naturally hyper?

You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit. If it eats the rabbit and plays with the apple, I'll buy you a new car.

Awwww...yes,mice are often hyper and active little guys.

My one girl,Saoirse, she is that way.Takes forever to catch her.She runs everywhere and never wants to be picked up.Like dogs and other animals, mice have their own personalities. Some are more calm and others are more hyper.

Is he used to you?
Cause mice will run away if they are not used to your scent and feel your a threat. You can offer treats (if you don't already) and see if he will climb into your hand by himself.

This is what I do, somedays i mix in a little of my anti-psychotic medicine into my dogs food. It calms her down and works like a charm!!

Haha.

Once they get more used to you it will a bit easier to catch them, but they are generally very hyper and wanna run around and play
