Who else has CritterTrail X?

I absolutely hate CritterTrail! The parts are so cheap and breakable and it is soooo hard to put together! What are other people's opinions on this cage?

I used to have a crittertrail that I used for mice and I will never buy one again. When I first got it I loved it, but after a few cleanings it got really hard to take apart and put back together and they almost chewed out of it once... They're a really nice concept, and cool to look at, but they aren't very practical.

I like them and hate them at the same time.I used to have one and my mice were in it.It was fun watching them run and frolic in it and go thru the many rooms and tunnels, but cleaning time was a pin in my behind!I had to take it apart and it was hard to take apart and clean and I ended up breaking it...so I don't want one anymore! You can have an ordinary cage and be creative and make it fun yourself!

I had a crittertrail for gerbils and they were okay but they would chew threw it and when they dug the shavings would go everywhere!

critter trail is nice in appearance- but thats about it....if you have one pet....sure you could spend and devote hours and hours to cleaning each individual part...thats what i used to do...i had only one teddy bear hamster at the time, Maggie, and she had like four sets of critter trail......and about once a week i went through the pain of having to dissasemble each part...sometimes i accidently broke one of the tubes...and they are not cheap to replace (and the ventalation is bad too)...in the end..i just got tired and let her run free on my room floor...lol

when i had my hamster i got some of those, they where hard to put together to begin with, then some of the pieces wouldnt stay together right. then we finally got them together so they would work. my hamster used them for maybe a week, then she figured out how to get out, first she somehow got the tubes apart, then we got them to stay together and she chewed out. i really dont reccomend them, i think there a waste of money, the idea is cool, and maybe if you used them as just a play area, and not a full time cage it might be worth it.

I have a crittertrailX. I don't know where the wheel is, but it doesn't matter because when my mouse would run, he would poo and get it dirty in a matter of a few hours. I couldn't get it apart to clean, so now it's probably in the trash.
I hate taking it apart to clean, you can't clean it any other way. It does work in the dishwasher, but I don't have the time to let my to do that. I clean it by hand once a week. I got extra tubes so my mouse could have fun, and he does use them. I wouldn't put him in a nother cage because of that (I know he loves his tubes, aren't I a nice mama) For my mouse it's fun, for me it's a pain. I would just use a tank, and if you want, attach tubes to that (they make lids that those crittertrail tubes connect to I think)

I wish we could let our mice run free, but with two cats, a clumsy old dog, and a ten year old brother and his friends running freely, it would be impossible.

My one mouse is a desk mouse. He just runs around and explores everything.
