Talking Woohoo! *does a celebratory dance*

As some of you know I've been trying to get a pair of ratty boys from a local rescue for about a week now. Well, I brought them home today! I am so happy to have them. They are just the sweetest little things, and absolutely adorable. Never tried to get away from me once while we were meeting them, but one of them did hide his head in my armpit, lol. They've settled nicely into the cage they'll be in for quarantine and introductions to Skewer.

They're both agouti hoodeds, one of my favorite colors, lol. their current names are Bean and Bill, although I don't really think they suit them. Since they don't respond to their names I don't think it'll confuse them if I change them, so I'm trying to think of something else to call them. Suggestions are welcome.

I'll try to borrow a camera sometime to get pictures, but no promises.

I was actually thinking about Yin and Yang. My mom already suggested Pinky and The Brain, but they were mice, and albinos, two things my boys definitely are not.

My dad suggested Marsh and Mallow, so they'd go with Skewer, lol. But I thought that was a bit too much. If Bill was a little bigger I might have done Pork and Beans though... Thinking about it now, I'm kinda glad he's as small as he is. (Note: He's not all that small, just young and not porky yet.)

Well, I think Bean's name has stuck to him, as it's rather grown on me today. But Bill still needs a name, I don't like his at all. It just sounds too much like a generic 'I couldn't be bothered to think of something better' name to me.

Edit:

Also, after sitting with Bean for a while today I think he's a rex. When we met them yesterday they were both a little nervous as they weren't usually around the dog at the rescue, and both had thier fur puffed the slightest bit. He's not a very pronounced rex, but it's still there.

Well I seem to be talking to myself now (oh well, it happens) but I've narrowed the names for Bill down to two choices. They are Raleigh and Freight. What do you guys think?

LOL! I know the feeling...sometimes it seems I am talking to myself!

I was supposed to adopt a pair of rats named Ying and Yang once and they were black hoodeds! I couldn't take them after and they are in another home now.

I am not a fan of the name Bill either...but knowing me,I would probably keep the name! Every time I take in a rat that has a name,I NEVER change it.I currently have a rescue named Goober...thats a yucky name, but he is a love and nothing else seems to suit him!

I like the name Raleigh, but Freight reminds me of a train...LOL! But they are YOUR rats... So name them whatever you like.Bean is a cute name...I have a ratty named Soybean!

OMG! If he is a rex,I am jealous.I have been trying to get another rex for sooo long and have had no luck. There is an ex breeder here with rex studs...she moved here not long ago, however they are starting to age,so I dunno if I wanna use them. She said I was welcome to,but I am kinda iffy, only because they are getting older. They are otherwise healthy.
