Crazy nervous chin

I have a chinchilla that is about 4 months old. She is sooo nervous. When you open the cage she freaks out and either flys all over or paces back and forth at the back of the cage at 90 mph. I have handled her daily, talked to her, given treats. When I get her out of the cage she seems pretty good, still a bit nervous. She was born here and her parents are very sweet but she is crazy. I have never seen one like this before. Anyone have any brilliant ideas? I'm very open for suggestions on this poor little girl. Thanks.

I have found that some chins are just kind of over active like that. She will probably calm down as she gets older. I think all you can do is continue to do what you have been doing. Handle her as much as possible.

Thanks Ckane. I am wondering if she may even be mentally off balance. I've worked with hundreds of chins but she is the wildest! She was up for sale but I will hold on to her and watch her and HOPE she calms down. I was considering giving her a big cage to play in. She gets along fine with other chins but she makes them a nervous reck so she is caged alone.
