fly problem

I keep the cages clean and sterile as well as the walls, under the cages, and everywhere else but I always have a ton of flies in my room. I checked everything from the cages to the food and no luck. It smells nice and fresh in there too. I even checked all the chinnies and everything is a go. Any suggestions?

I had that problem the last summer I was in LA. It got really bad. I had a mostly wooden cage on a table, so I finally hung flystrips on the outside of it where the chinnies couldn't get to it. It helped. I don't think it has anything to do with sterile. I think its just flies.

Maybe you could hand some fly strips from the ceiling. Just check to make sure none of the have falllen down before you let the chins out.

I also use the fly strips, they look terrible but they really do work!
