Getting ready for show...
So, we've been dusting daily getting ready for the York show this weekend and decided that tonight would be the last dustbath for Jetta (homo ebony) and Sage (black velvet). I got Sage out and combed her out really good using a #4, #2 and then finishing with a #1 comb and then trimmed the end of her tail. She was so pretty after I lint rolled her to get the access fur off and dusted her all up nice and pretty! (I didn't even get bit this time!! Whoo Hoo!) Then I got Jetta out to repeat the process on her. She squealed like a piglet the entire time! Not the typical barking of a ticked off chin, and not the scaredy call of a fearful chin, but squealing like a piglet! Even when I wasn't combing her and let her down to run in between combs! (figured I'd give her a bit of a break while switching combs) Anyway, we got done, dusted, had a raisin and I decided to go ahead and start on Kir next. Well after watching and hearing the fuss that Jetta put up, he was having none of it and refused to come out of his cage! LOL! He barked and spit at me! I just decided to give him another day to forget what he saw before I subject him to the dredded grooming and just gave him his dust instead! LOL! Once he realized he wasn't being combed tonight, he was fine, but I thought it was kind of funny that he freaked out about being next! (I think he'll go first at the show! LOL!)
