For how long have you had chinchillas?

Just wanted to see for how long youve had your chinnies ^_^

I got my first chin around august 1997, so it's 11 years later this year ^_^

I've had my guys for 2 years took them in as rescues and wouldn't ever be without them now

I would like a chinnie, but I think they need huge cages and even if i got a cage that was as big as my room, i'd sill feel sorry for the lil guy =[

As long as you play with the chin and pay it lots of attention, they are just fine. You do have to definitely commit to the animal though

i'd like one but i hear they aren't big on snuggles and carrying around being pet, anything that is that cute i would have to snuggle and hold and pet all the time.... so i don't have one. maybe someday

They're so cute when they run around and bounce off walls and then use your arms and legs to jump off of. My chin will run around for a long time, but then will want to come and take a nap by me.
