Jade-Praline Update??

Hey Steph, how is Praline doing? Last I heard it was found she wasn't pregnant, but I haven't seen any threads in the past few days with an update on her...so how is she doing?

She's hanging in there. She is definitely feeling better but there isn't much change otherwise. I'm still handfeeding her several times a day, but the wound is taking forever to heal. The joint is still very swollen, I'm not sure how it's going to heal. Just taking it one day at a time.

Thanks for asking.

Stephanie

So far it's holding around 810. She was 880 the night before this happened. She needed to lose a little weight but not like this ...

Man..

Have you given her dry oatmeal for a treat? Sounds like she'd like that.

Remember your title fits you perfect.. She will get better.

She's getting everything she could possibly want, including supplement. She'll eat a few pieces, then that's the extent of it.

She is staying steady now though, and she gets fighting mad at me when I try to feed her or clean the leg, so I'm taking that as a good sign. She is much more alert and affectionate when I'm not torturing her too.

Is she a cuddle bug? Im glad she's fighting, too. Better than just sitting there and taking in everything you do to her without arguing!

I'm glad she's doing a bit better. Every little bit counts!!

Chinnie scratches for Praline, and hugs to her wonderful chinnie mommy.

I'm glad to hear she is holding her own and feeling well enough to give you a tough time during feedings and cleanings. Slow healing is typical of ligament tears so try not to get discouraged. You're doing a wonderful job!

I hope she heals well. I feel so bad for her, and it has to be so emotionally hard on you.

I guess all this happened while I was gone Jade, I'm sorry I missed the thread. And I'm sorry to hear about this. I sure hope she heals up soon. How are you holding up? I'll keep you both in my thoughts.
