Minimum temperatures?

We are in the middle of emergency remodeling due to a flood on our second floor. I am moving my chins out to a covered screened in porch and back in at night. The house doesn't have heat right now, so I am wondering at what temp are they comfortable and safe? I have four chins, 2 females in one cage, 2 males in another. They have little houses within the cages to cuddle up in.

Please advise, and thanks!

55 degrees at the coolest, 70 degrees at the warmest is what is going to be the most comfortable and safe for your babies.

Although 50 to 75 won't kill them, they may be a bit uncomfortable. Definetly don't expose them to anything warmer or colder though

Thanks, it's been getting close to 50 at night, so I will get some heat on for them.

If you don't have heat, then perhaps a few cotton rags might help. My chin loves to cuddle up in the folded rag I give him in the winter. Just make sure it's clean and cotton only.

I would be worried about them chewing/ingesting that.

There is no one TRUE way

I've never had a problem with him chewing/ingesting it. BTW, when i said rags, i meant old t-shirts with no logos/designs on them.
