Exclamation My chinchilla got wet!

My chinchilla's water bottle sprung a leak while he was drinking from it, soaking his entire chin/stomach. He won't let me towel dry it, is there another way for me to dry it? Or should I just let it dry out?

My youngest son soaked our chisn with a water gun. and all i did was towel dry them. but i was told to get blow dryer and set it on low and dry them for 3 mons then turn it off and use the towel and go back forth with towel and blowe dryer a feew times to get them dry. you don't want to keep the bowdryer on them consistantly cause they will over heat. jsut witch back and forth. that's what i did and my chins are fine. Also don't be worried about them gewtting wet. i also found out that some chins love getting wet. but i wouldn't recomed giving them a dust bath till the next day cause the water will clump the dust into the fur. but he will be fine. i had one lady tell me that her chin used to fall into the toilet. so it's ok just make sure the lid is on your water bottle ... tight next time....

It should dry just fine I would not worry. I have bottles with stoppers and nozzles so sometimes that happens where one pops open while I am attaching it. Not a big deal
