pregnent chin advice please?

ok so if i did the math right my chinchillas should be at 117 days by now counting from the day i found the plug in the cage. shes as big as a house lol this is murrys first time being pregnent is it normal for them to go this long with a first litter? everyone i know is saying she should have given birth at 111 days but id like to know what everyone has to say. at the moment my males in the cage with her cuz she likes him cuddling her stomach XD i plan to take him out later unless i get feedback saying other wise. but yeah anyone have any extra advice or pearls of wisdom to share?

The gestation for a chinchilla is 111-120 days and that is an estimate. also just because you found a breeding plug does not mean she concieved at that time. They will come when it is time

I would remove the male now because Murry could become pregnant again a day before the babies are born. Plus when the babies are born the male may try to mate with Murry and accidently trample a baby.

kz got the spair cage all set up, loki hates it but its a few inches from the big cage so him and murry can still make googly eyes at each other. btw i havent been able to get a straight answer on when its ok to start handling the babies. mind tellin me your views on that?

You can handle babies shortly after they are born. Mom may not be happy about it. I weigh and sex kits after they are dry. Don't keep kits away from mom for very long until they are a bit older.

If you want, you can supply her diet with some calcium.
