Pumpkin Seeds...

I was wondering is feeding pumpkins seeds to chins is okay? I have read of people feeding them to there chins and I wasn't sure, just curious.

In general, I stay away from seeds and nuts due to their high fat content. One once in a great while shouldn't hurt your chin, but I wouldn't advise it as part of a regular treat regimen.

I usually give shredded wheat for treats as the normal daily treat...Once a week I give papaya, a raisin, a craisin, or a rose hip...normally (and since they climb the cages to get them) a shredded wheat is what they usually prefer...I've had chins refuse other treats in favor of the shredded wheat and since it's all fiber, I feel most comfortable using that.

I give my babies a peanut about every week or two. They absolutely love them. They take them and run to oposite ends of the cage-like I would take them back!
I tried the shredded wheat with them-they turned their noses up. Since yours like them so much I think I will try again!
