Those who may want to breed ...

I just want to post this as a reminder for anyone who thinks it might be fun to put two chinchillas together and have some cute little babies ...

This male is neutered and was with a female, so there is no 'reason' this should have happened. They were properly introduced over more than a month's time. Sometimes, they just turn on each other and it's no one's fault.

Just something to think about if you want to breed or put new chinchillas together. No matter how careful you are, you could wind up with a very bad situation.
