I am the new chin mom of Emma, a 2 yr old female black velvet. I have had her home for about a week now. Emma quickly adjusted to us and is such a delight. I give all the credit to her other chin mom at Meadowbrook Chins http://www.chin-chillas.com/
. What a fantastic breeder, I spent many hours out at their farm and met all of her chins. All I can say is it far supassed any of my expectations.
I think I have a serious case now of chin-itis. I am really happy to have so many online resources about chins and this forum looks like a great place to share with like minded people.
I am a 30 something, mom of two girls age 11, a software professional, a complete animal lover, avid photographer, play the piano and viola and live in the Bellevue, Washington area. We have two cats, Little Cat a 6 yr old female calico with fur so soft you think she stole it from a chin, Clarissa 6 yrs female tuxedo, slightly neurotic ok a lot neurotic ( she comes up for you to pet her then you go to pet her and she ducks your hand like she is hand shy. and she has never been hit so this is always weird for me, she talks alot and is currently growling at a bird outside the window) Mr. Speedy a almost 4 yr old black teddy bear hamster ( his time is running short, but has no health issue and active as ever) and Bobby a dwarf hamster I brought home from PetCo last week as a rescue, someone dropped him off. Dwarf hamsters aren't known for their friendliness so I have been told but this little guy about 1 yr old seems to be doing great I even held him last night and put him in a roller ball for some exercise and he took right to it.
I know, enough about me, where are the pics? Warning they are super big and I am just so anxious to share my fabulous Emma that I am posting them anyway, they are about 5 mb a piece so you might want to consider that before pulling them up. I must admit though they are worth it.
These are of Emma enjoying the raised tile near the woodstove(we don't use this one so I don't mind her playing around it, except when she gets out of arm length behind it at bed time and doesn't particularly want to go to her cage. I swear she is playing a game with us, running from one side to the other then , just waiting for us to move closer and bolts off to peak at us from another vantage place.
I set the following one as my desktop on the computer, she is such a cutie !
Happy Monday !
