Talking Woohoo!

Snowball is home!!

She's doing well considering all she's gone through. She's a little skittish and hides, but that's to be expected.

She has to be on two different antibiotics a day, one twice a day and the other three times a day. One is for her teeth and the other is for the gas in her stomach.

She did have a lot of overgrown teeth and he had to float them. Hopefully this will encourage her to eat her hay now. I know it'll probably be a day or so before she eats, but the meds should help with the pain.

I'm so glad she's home! I just hugged her and snuggled her before going home.

Glad to hear it! Keep a close watch on her these next few days, she's going to need lots of TLC. You may want to take a peek at an article I wrote for neutering surgery, it's helpful after any sort of illness on what to watch for, signs of pain, etc.

Trust me, my husband and I are going to do everything possible to make her comfortable. Right now she's probably hiding in her dustbath house, but I know it'll take her a bit to readjust to being home. We've already given her two doses of cisapride and one dose of trimethoprim. Going to do the second dose of trimethoprim in a few minutes or so and the last dose of cisapride after that.

I'm going to have to have my husband help me force feed her. Before surgery, she'd automatically take the syringe in her mouth and eat the critical care. Now she's hesitant. I know her mouth probably is still sore from surgery, but she needs to eat. Soooooooo, here comes the fun part!
