Oh my gosh!! They are soooo adorable!! Their faces are just precious! Is the one on the right (Snoopy?) larger than the other two? Their cute little paws look like hands!
Just too cute...

Dena... I didn't think of that! Yes Deja, Snoopy (my only boy) is bigger then my girls... I don't know if it is because he is a canadian ferret or not but I do know that makes tend to be larger than females. He is our little cuddle bear! Mojo is turning out to be a kisser too (like Snoopy), Tigger is just on drugs 24/7 & hyper as heck & Winnie is my little deaf paranoid one (although getting better). They all have such different personalities!

Tigger is on drugs 24/7

Winnie is deaf? Wow, how did you discover that she was deaf?

They are all just gorgeous...

see Becki I'm psycic!

Deja, some of her behavioral traits were pointing in that direction so we did several tests you can do at home (like clapping your hands really loud behind her head to see if she responds) she failed everything miserably. I then started doing some research on deafness & found out that based on her markings she most likely has a gene called "warrenberg" (I think that's what it is called) which is VERY prone to deafness. BUT I love her just the same as the rest of em.

It is Waardensburg Syndrome that makes a ferret deaf. Blaze ferrets are almost always deaf. Albinos can tend to be too. I have a blaze girl and she's deaf but she acts no different then my two hearing ferrets.

DEW's are more prone to be deaf, not albinos

Oh yeah, that's right, it's Albinos that are prone to blindness

Aww Kay, I would love her to pieces too!
I was curious about the deafness because my husband is deaf, as are all his sibs, except one. His mom passed on a gene that made him start losing his hearing due to progressive nerve damage during adolescence. At least he can speak because he was old enough to retain good speech when his hearing ability declined.
(Why this is relavent to your ferret - I don't know!!...)

What went through my sick mind though was....

At least if someone asked Winnie what she wanted for dinner she wouldn't respond with, "Naah, darn lottery ticket wasn't a winner."

Dat 'bout sums up me life right there- wonky!!

thanks Tutebugs, I didn't look it up before I posted it but I knew the name was close to that. I believe Mojo may be at least partially deaf as well and she is NONE of these BUT as she gets older I am noticing her tail is turning white (know anything on this Nancy?)

Deja... now everytime I give them a cookie I am gonna think of that!!! I can imagine it would tie in with your hubby cause we were discussing deafness... if you sneak up behind your hubby... does he also poof up his tail & freak out on you? (Winnie doesn't do this nearly as much as she used to.)
