bath pics

We give our ferrets a bath about every 6 months or so cuz too much is not good for them. Anyway, we just gave them one the other day and my bf took pics.

Too funny Tutebugs! I know what you mean by complete chaos after they are out. Mine are the same way!

Just out of curiosity, what do you ise for shampoo for them? and how does it afftect their fur & skin?
I use the stuff made for ferrets but truthfully I'm not so sure I like it

Your ferts are so cute tutebug! My youngest is terrified of water. As soon as his feet are wet he loses control of his bowels. I have to dip him in the bath water then take him right out and put him directly into his litterbox

Oh my Tweak, that's too funny. When my youngest was a baby she would poop all over when she was out of the water cuz the way they go nuts freaked her out. Now she seems fine. We take them out of the tub at the same time, put a towel on the floor, walk to the door, reach them in a shut the door. They freak out in the bathroom for about a half hour then freak out around the house to completely dry.

fstybrat- I use Bio Groom Fancy Ferret Shampoo. It makes them nice and soft and smell good. We only give them a bath maybe every six months so that their skin and coat doesn't get drained of it's oils. It's the stuff on the right I use....the goldish stuff

Hmm? I'll have to look into that! The stuff I use is green just can't remember the name of it off hand.. Is that something you can find in the pet stores or do you buy it online?
I only do about once every 6 months as well cause we don't wanna dry out the skin as it is dry enough.
