Awesome Ferret Nation! I'll be getting one myself later on down the road...since I've moved out my ferrets are freeroam, so I just have a playpen and a ferret room in which I can stow them away. Otherwise they just wander everywhere for now.

hahaha thaqt's great!! hey i was thinking about how you said you don't have enough bedding....try litter training the two (not the old old one) and get rid of that dang triangle litterpan, i have yet to meet a ferret that likes them. get a big rectangle box or soemthing, they like to really be IN th elitterbox, cat boxes work too

THEN (since i wasnt' done but clicked OK anyways) see what happens. they're smart, they might take to it. otherwise, then oyu only have half the cage floor to bedd now

Yea, Im working on getting a litter box in there. Thats the only litter box i had right on hand. It was for my bun bun. I think I have a litter box, but its at my moms.

I have that litter box(triangle) then I have peper down in the other corner..they have used the box a few times.

but I still wish I had more bedding for them to cuddle with, and to have when I clean there bedding. lol

lol yeah i hear ya. why don't you find an old magazine you're not reading anymore adn shred it up? i dunno if it's better than newspaper, but at least the ink doens't rub off. i use flyers sometimes, just put down flat some layers, i don't shred, i'm impatient lol

litter training/cages

Hey great cage!
I'm currently making my own... none of the ones I could find for sale seemed big enough for my fuzzies.

I saw something somewhere about those triangle litter pans. Someone said that the ferrets didn't like it because they can't fit their bodies into it and their front legs keep bumping into the front of the litter pan. The way she resolved it was to roll up a towel and place it in front of the litter pan so that it is rolled up even with the top of the litter pan-- creating a "ramp" of sorts. After that, her fuzzies had no problem using the triangle pan.

Just a thought... I haven't tested it at all.
