Alright, Alright...

You should brush their teeth semi-often. Maybe 2-3 times a month. You can use a cat toothpaste and cat toothbrush to do this. Most of the time, though, the kibble that ferrets eat will help to clean their teeth. They also have treats, as mentioned. In addition, a professional veterinarian tooth cleaning is recommended every one or two years because of what builds up in the gumline and in other recesses that we just can't reach without struggling.

Fez to the rescue! Thanks for the advice...now how do you get the ferret to stay still while you brush its teeth?

Hahaha I always scruff my ferrets in my mouth and then use both my arms to keep them still and do whatever I need to do(feed them a new treat such as duck soup, clean their mouths, cut their nails, brush their teeth, etc.). I could care less if they struggle and stuff...they're tough animals and they can take it =D.
