Talking Nothing but great news so I must share!

Ok first Jynx is in perfect shape no more coughing or wheezing. I took pictures today so I will post them. But first I must introduce you to the newest member of my Brat Rat Pack. I don't have a name yet so any suggestions would be great because "Hey you" isn't working very good. These first two are of the newbie he's a black eye albino who weights about four pounds.
The third one is Jynx she's my little bully and the last one is Tweak my big suck up.

Yay Jinx!
Oh goodness those pictures are adorable! They are all so, so cute!
Your new baby is looks so sweet. I love his color- is it just the picture, or are his tail and ears a tannish/orangie color? So cute!
Aww Jinx is a doll and I just love Tweak!
Great pictures, thanks for sharing them!

As far as names, I'm the worst when it comes to naming pets
I'm sure you'll think of the perfect name for him!

That really is the colour of his tail and ears although it's not natural. It most likely was caused by a change in diet he was rescued by a guy I met in the pet store today. He found it wandering the streets in Montreal a month ago. He's perfectly healthy now but Bill was moving and couldn't take him along so he gave him to me.

Tweak they are all absolutely beautiful!!! (and plump!! just how I like em!) I STILL want a DEW (dark eyed white) ... Hmmm as I look at the pics of him the first name that continually pops in my head is "Crystal" but that is far too girlish... I will put some thought into it!!

I am super glad Jynx is doing well again!! Give him belly rubs for me!!

If you still want a DEW it's too bad you don't live here the ferrets in the shelters are 40% to 50% DEWS. I always thought they are beautiful ferrets and I can't figure out why there are so many in the shelters. By the way do you happen to know if a vet would work on a ferrets teeth or is there a specialist for that because "The ferret temporarily known as Dude" has really bad teeth. One tooth has been broken off and is rotting and another one is starting a cavity.

I personally believe one of the BIGGEST reasons DEWS are not wanted is because the tend "sometimes" to be biters... the reason for this being they are prone to deafness, they cannot hear you coming towards them so they often get starteled (sp?) & nip or they just show affection differently than that of a non-deaf fert. IMO that is NO reason to give up an animal... they cannot help their situation, I'm sure they don't like it either. I have a panda that is deaf... I did not know this when I first got her, but as I learned about it I tried to change my routine with her & learned to have LOTS of patience! She has definately come a long way!!

Anyway... As for the teeth problem, if you are able to find a fet who specializes in ferrets I am pretty sure they can do something about the teeth. Infortunately they may have to use anesthesia and have to pull the one that is broken & cavitated... anesthesia on a small animal scares me, but I have heard of it successfully being done without complications. I would certainly call around & find the BEST knowledgable fert vet you can. With you being in Canada I am affraid I am not much help for ya there...

Keep us update though!! & let is know how "Dude" is adjusting!!
