I have ALWAYS wanted a ferret since I was 10, now I am going to get one soon. I travel, to many different states. I am mainly back and forth from NC to NYC or CT. And I take greyhound and they do not allow pets and the plane cost too much. They check people in NYC but no where else. What do you think that I should do?

well congrats on your new(soon-to-be)furbaby......one good thing about ferrets( I owned 7 at one time, now just 1) is that 2 days by themselves is fine just add a new couple of toys to the cage and get a gravity feeder and BIG water bottle.......most boarding shelters just keep ferrets in a cat cage the entire time of boarding(it would be better to keep them home than cat carrier in strange place w/ dogs barking), however some ferret resue shelters do board and let your baby out to play.......I don't know how you could hide it,but just to let you know I take my baby w/ me in one of those "dog purses", but watch out for wear and tear sometimes they try to scratch out.......Maybe you would do good to have a sitter come over for 2-4 hours to let your baby play.........hope I could be some help.......
