Post ~Bandit baby~

So gusse what happened this week. Hubby came home with a baby ferret hes about 6 months and seems to have a big issue with males . he nips my hubby every chance he gets.to be honest its kinda funny but shh dont tell hubby that. I named him Bandit. This is my very first ferret so im very careful with him and im starting to think i baby him to much when i come home i let him out of the cage and he stalks me around the house exactly like a dog would. My dog bella doesnt even bother with him she just lays there and stairs at him . id never trust her alone with him but its still cute to see her watching him. Iv been reading tons of info about ferrets online. I was wondering if anyone would have any ferret tips. Hes neutured and has been descented. Hubby rescued him from a friends daughter who wasnt taking care of him at all , he came home in a filthy little cage and since then has been put into a bigger rabbit cage till i get my pay then i can get him a huge cage . Iv named him bandit I will post pics as soon as I can find my cam. But I decided Bandit hes a mommys boy thats for sure and even has a semi mask like a bandit would not to mention has a bad habbit of taking my keys out of my purse and running with them .so if anyone has any info for me about ferrets id love to get more info about them thank you

Congrats! I'm not positive, but just make sure you check and see if ferrets are around in your area
Other than that I don't know much about ferrets, but I look forward to seeing pics of him!

Watch your shiny's! Ferrets love shiny stuff! When I had ferrets, I would play with them with one of those weird but cheap milticolor duster things from the dollar store, they loved it! They will chew up plushies though, so watch those as well. Once I even took my ferret out with the trash, and the same ferret went to sleep in my warm laundry in my drawer, so for a whole day I couldn't find him, even went door to door in my apt building asking if anyone had found him!!! But they are so fun!

congrats on your new ferret! I've always thought they were super fun, my roommates mom had one that she would let out in their huge house for hours at a time I don't think I could ever take the stink though. lol
