Bedding question

I have been using carefresh and it gets really expensive. I re-did my floor in my room with vinyl tiles so i cut tiles to fit oreos cage. It's much easier to clean and it's much cheaper.(not to mention adorable! I've read that hedgies need bedding to burrow in, but he has a snuggly nest box stuffed with blankies to snuggle and burrow into, tht he loves. Do I really need bedding?

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to that. So many people actually use bedding, I would assume it's recommended. Not even having my first hedgie quite yet, I can't really answer. Hopefully one of the hedgie people will be along shortly

I use kiln dried pine and liners with my hedgies. They like burrow (atleast mine do)

Well, what you might want to do is get a box and put some carefresh in it just in case he wants to burrow in something other than where he sleeps. But Technically they dont have to have somewhere to burrow as long as they are happy with out it I wouldnt worry.
