Its a Prairie Dog, although he thinks he is a racoon.
They are stuck to hairs in his mouth. Im hoping someone has
seen this. I think it's lice eggs. He is going to Vet on Saturday.
I'm hoping to have some ideas in case he hasnt seen it either.

He thinks its food. He looked at some under a microscope.
I just want to know what it is but I don't get many responses.
I'm surprised that noone has seen this before. I'm going to change to Mazuri Rodent block. The rodent block I have I got
with the PDs. Im not sure of the brand.

Thanks,

I'm glad to have a firm answer. Any chance you know what it is?
Yes he is young, I think about 7 months. He is always trying to get me to groom him thats how I noticed.

Apologies for the resurrection, but I didn't want to start a new thread.

I'm really glad I found this thread as my Pd's both have the same thing here. I took them to our vet who had some experience with them and he seemed to think it was some kind of fungus? Can we confirm what it is, even if it is "normal" ?

Edit: Would love to post images of this but can't yet. Boo.

Any answers?

Did anyone get any absolute answers from a vet about this? I can't find another post about this and really would like to know something. Was hoping someone found something out? Thank you!!
