Question HELP!! Female P.D's fighting

I have owned Prairie Dogs for almost ten years and never had this happen before. My females started fighting tonight, I mean really going at it and I had to separate them.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? It female version of PMDD? They're fine with me when I hold them but put them together they go after each other biting and clawing.

They've known each other for almost four years and this is a first.

It wasn't just the younger female that turned on Tallulah but also the male.

Tallulah is nine years old, Gussie and Lulu are almost four years old. They are brother and sister and I have them in one cage and Tallulah is in another cage all alone, and looking sad.

I talk to her and stroke her several times a day so that she knows I love her, but I know she misses her companions.

She was eating okay, but she is lonely.

I was hoping PD Jenn would see this and give me some good advice. I don't like seeing Tallulah with a broken heart.

Even females can and do have a rut period. Some girls may not go into Rut every year.If I had to guess I would say your girl is just rutting

I hope it will pass soon Mia, Tallulah is very lonely. She mothered both Gussie and Lulu for years.

I might add Gussie did the same thing to Tallulah at the same time. But they get along with each other (brother and sister).
