There are a few things you can do for your pd:

- buy a snuggle safe heat disc and cover it with a clean cloth ,preferably fleece, and place it under the pd's sleeping area

-make a fleece pouch approx. 20"x18" for your pd to sleep in (place in sleeping box-the sleeping box should be made of untreated wood or metal i believe.)

-provide your pd with clean blankets to snuggle and keep warm in.

I've heard to use all three to provide the most warmth. I'm sure there are also more knowledgable people on here to help you too, since i began educating myself in their care not too long ago in preperation for the prairie dog(s) i hope to acquire~

hope this helps!

why is he getting cold? I see you live in miami, I live just a few hours from you and it's beautiful out. All our windows are open. My pd has a bunch of material to use as bedding. Maybe your pd is just nervous being in a new place with new people. you can get some rescue remedy to put in his water it will help calm his nerves. You can find it in whole food/natural food stores. If he is actually cold a snuggle safe will definitely do the job, it just shouldn't be necessary unless your pd is sick.
