Unhappy Moody Praire dog

Recently she has been acting very different. We had another pd with her that we had rescued and honestly weren't sure if it was a male or female. We couldn't hold him/her cause he would dive down under covers and we didn't want to be grabby. We went out to feed and realized he was gone! we still don't have any idea where or how he got out. Well since he has been gone she has been very moody. Tonight she bit me harder than she has ever-in fact my finger is still numb. He has been gone since the 2nd week in Jan. if he was in fact male was he able to get her pregnant? and how can we tell if she is? We just got another pd ( a girl) to maybe help her not be lonely and Lily our pd could care less about her. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Glad to hear the situation is handled. These pets can be stressful at times.
