Something came out of prairie dogs butt and don't know what it is

Sorry for the strange question but I just adopted 2 four month prairie dogs. Both male. Today Frank was playing with my husband on the bed and my husband saw 3 things (he said hand like or round) came out of his butt and went back in. He wasn't pooping or anything. Could this be their anatomy or worms? Any idea? Please help!

Hi, you probably figured out by now but I just would like to reassure you that this is totally normal, I just saw my prairie dog doing this today and kind freaked me out for a second so I did some research and found out that this is their scent glands! When they are still pups that don't have much control over it that's why it keeps coming in and out all the time. No worms!
