crispy ear :(

Sug's ears seem to be kind of crispy, one more than the other, its hard and brittle. Does anyone know of this kind of thing? Her ear is almost glued together by this stuff. I tried warm water and that didnt work, it stayed there. My mom said to try glycerin but i thought i would ask on here before i did anything like that. Is this some kind of illness or is she just getting her bml on her ear when im not looking?

I softened the crispiness finally after putting warm cloths on it for about an hour (without getting water on her fur or in her ear). As i carefully pulled away the crunchy yellow stuff i found something i hadnt even thought of but now seems obvious. She has an old wound, it is a cut on the tip of her ear. The crisp was the healing scab which i just so stupidly peeled away. I felt so terrible when i saw the small cut, i shouldve thought first, but at least now i can treat it properly as it may have been infected hence the yellow scab. I seems like its an old cut as it didnt bleed and has healed some. Her ears have been scabby since we got her but it became more noticable the last few days, maybe something bothered it i dont know. Any input on how to deal with this would be appreciated.
