Question excessive licking?

hey, my sugar glider, Meka (about 5 years old) has, for the past few months, been licking like crazy. She licks her two children (Mac, who's fixed, and Sasha, who are both two years old) and everytime I stick my hand in there she grabs it and licks A LOT. I think my other guys are starting to do the same and learning from her cause I normally have all three clinging onto my hand and licking. She also licks other things, not just me. Like a little bird house thing that's either plastic or glass (I can't remember) and it's pretty gross cause she ussually does this right after Mac has just went pee on it.. I try and wash it off as much as I can.
It's just.. what a tongue! She licks everything. Even the cage bars. Is this NORMAL? I have taken her to the vet several times and he said she's completely healthy and her diet is zookeepers. I just don't understand WHY she licks like that?? Does she want salt? Anyways, do any of your guys do that?

I've not heard of it before. I suggest you ask your question on www.sugarglider.net where you should reach a wider audience of Suggie people.
