Question Marachino Cherries??

I have 2 sugar gliders, and *ONLY* as a treat (i.e. not every day!), my husband will occasionally give them a single marachino cherry as a treat. They seem to love it, but I was wondering if it was okay for them to eat those I'm a big "healthy diet" kind of person when it comes to my pets, so I wanted to make sure the cherries wouldn't hurt my gliders. Thanks

Glider greetings, snlash!
yes, it's okay for gliders to have cherries, just make sure the cherries dont have pits and all seeds are removed, as those are the toxic parts of cherries. other than that my gliders get cherries atleast once a week during meal time and they enjoy them a lot.
I also found out just this week gliders can eat tuna and it is perfectly healthy for them! Looks like Ill have to be going to the grocery store to stockup on tuna and cherries, lol.

Thank you SunnySideUp! I appreciate the answer, and the tuna tip! I will try that with my gliders tonight! I live in a tiny (population 800) Missouri town, and no one else here owns sugar gliders (I had to travel 2 hours to rescue my babies, who were going to be given to the *cough* animal shelter if I didn't get them), so I'm really glad to meet some other people here who have them and love them also!

cherries are different from maraschinos tho.. maraschinos are more candy coated and sugary... I would try to stay away from those and give other cherries instead
