No..... they cannot be potty trained (sorry) - and they will go pee / poop any where and on any one holding them.
The best thing to do is to let them awake up and get out of their pouch for at least 15 minutes this way they will empty themselves out, therefore, cutting down on how many times they will go potty else where.
BTW - please keep in mind they will pee on you (smaller amount) to scent mark you.
I wished you lived in Utah........ for I know a lady that is getting out of the breeding business and she is giving away 15-20 pairs of classic grey sugar gliders for FREE - or she can ship them to you for $160 and that alone is a great price for a pair.
ohhhhhh man that would be freakin awesome....hook it up lol =D
