llama question

Does anyone have llamas and if so can you tell me treats that they like? Mine does NOT take grain from my hand, but he'll take hay. He's pretty much wild and I am taming him down, but would like to find something he really really likes for training purposes.

Thanks

I've used carrots, a pelleted diet and rye-crisp crackers.

Just make sure it's fairly healthy, and something they are willing to "work" for.

other ideas ...bread, pretzels (without salt), celery, other crackers (whole wheat types)..

Wink

Usually you have to train the llamas to eat out of your hand, but some just do it naturally. I have a llama and she eats anything out of your hand, but she eats quickly! Contact me if you need anything!!!
