Very nice. As I type this, there are 24 tarantulas about 20" behind me, and two tortoiseshell cats sleeping beside me.

We just brought home two male salmon pink toes I think ( I get confused with the species I do know the rest that we have though) I was amazed how big and leggy they are. I want a cobalt blue and green bottle blue. We had one but being male he didnt live long. all ours are female as you can probably tell and we are bringing home a new torti next week. If dad gets any more tarantulas though he is going to have to move them out of my room. theres just no room for 7 tarantulas , 2 hamsters and a kitten plus me in my room lol

Well, there are 'Pink toes' (Avicularia avicularia), and Salmon pink birdeaters (Lasiodora parahybana)...both South American, but VERY different species. I personally have both.

Both very attractive, but the cobalt blue is cryptic, nasty, and fast, and the greenbotttle just nasty and fast....if you get them, mind your hands....the cobalt has a nasty bite.

all ours are female
I have a mix...most of mine have been purchased as small slings, so sexing was not an option...I havve lucked out with about 80:20 females to males, though.

Ah...what sort?

Just demand a larger room....if there is not one available, knock down a wall.

Our tarantulas mostly are aggressive so we dont handle them anyway

we purchased all ours at 1/4 " all the males have died off our girls are about 8 years old

Torti cat lol

OMG I was not expecting spideys!! I guess they're neat.. I don't like spiders but I respect them. The other night I wasn't wearing my glasses after bringing Coco for his bedtime business and I glanced down and saw a big black spider on the last step. It really freaked me out, I always imagine they will chase me.. If I had 7 tuarantuala's in my room, let alone 1, I wouldn't be able to sleep.
