awww,very cute,never heard of an anteater as a pet,but now I have.very interesting to read your faq.just wondering how long they are expected to live,they seem like they would live a while.

The oldest so far was 19yrs. Average was 10 but care has come a long way. So into their teens like a small dogs

That was just sparkling grape juice that time. But she does love beer, champagne and wine, but yes she just gets a sip of those from time to time. The only dangers are the same as for you, to much all at once or to much over time. No drunk anteater's here.

They have great personalities. The main problem with owning them is they can be pretty fragile as far as diseases and conditions are concerned and even my "tamandua" experienced ex-zoo vet hasn't been much help when a problem does crop up. So it can be kind of scary having them. They take such a big chunk of your heart.
