I called the pet store and no one answered, so either they have really crappy customer service or they aren't open.

So sad

There is a Exotic Pet store by me that has a pair of them. they are really cute. Would be cuter in the wild running free I think but wouldn't every animal be?

Ozzy,
Good for you for calling on that store! I hope they closed down for good?

Yes, they are officially closed down and the owner is in prison for cruelly confining and torture of animals.

Oh THANK YOU THANK YOU for calling the authorities on that store and the owner. So glad to hear it. I hope the owner of that store rots.

Well after animal control went into the shop they noticed very sick puppies in there and they asked the man where he acquired them and told them he was a breeder and they were his pups, well they did an investigation and found he was running a mill not only with puppies but with most of the types of animals in his shop. It was wild, on the news and everything

OMG, well I don't want to get kicked off the forum for excessive swearing and name-calling but I think you know what kinds of names my husband and I are calling this guy for his evil deeds. I will just say that his bad karma will come back to bite him. You must feel so good for calling the authorities on this guy. The animals would all thank you, I know it.

I feel wonderful for doing it. Almost all the rodents came to the rescue I work at although some needed to be put down for health reasons which could have been avoided if it wouldnt have been for one lousy man. I myself took 6 rats and fostered them and they now have good homes with some friends of mine. Most of the puppies had to be put down as they were almost all infected with parvo, and all had a horrible tapeworm infestation. But 4 puppies did make it. They too found homes really quickly.

Fantastic news about the ones that DID make it and got good homes, I am so happy about that.
I was sad about the ones that had to be put down but I guess I am not very surprised. But we can focus on the good parts of this and be happy for the ones that lived and now have forever homes. I am SO glad.

I've heard that in San Francisco, they are trying to pass a law to make selling animals (in pet shops) illegal.

The state of florida is an easy state to have almost any pet you want. You just have to get a permit. I always see diff animals thatI never thought you can have as a pet but you can In Fl. I grew up in New Jersey and they are Strict about what type of pets you can have.
