So cute!

I thought bunnies shouldn't have baths. I've wanted to give mine one but I didn't because I thought it wasn't healthy for them. Can someone clear this up for me?

Bathing Bunnies

Rabbit can have baths.

I bath Toky-Ohki, unfortunately I had a bad experience with Nash-eoke, as I said he was ill from day 1, well the bath to stop him stinking did not help him much, he died later that day.

So I cant decide, Toky-Ohki likes having a shower or bath.

Your bunnies look so happy and lively like toky-ohki after a bath * Snivvles *

Actually, Millimi is correct, Rabbits shouldn't be bathed. I did some research on this after someone asked me if all breeds shouldn't be bathed or just the rex breeds (standard and mini).

Since rabbits are susceptible to pneumonia and Pasturella, they can easily get sick after having a bath. In the wild, they rarely ever go into the water, unless it is a necessity.

If you do bathe your rabbits, you might want to consider stopping, or at least making sure that you take extra care about getting water near their faces, and drying them off immediately afterwards.

Most of the time, however, rabbits are pretty good at keeping themselves clean.

Talk of the devil, when I went to Barbara's today I took Toky-ohki into the shower with me and put her in the end of the bath, I cant say she enjoyed it but then I cant say she did'nt enjoy it either.

When I shower or bathe Toky-Ohki she is still as big and rotund as ever she was, she does'nt look skinny when wet its her breed, Havana, she is a heavy lump and she knows it

= ^ _ ^ = He he he Rummmm!
