Honey, my lop has been sneezing since last fall. I have tried everything to figure out what he is allergic to. I recently bought some Papaya tablets and gave him one. He couldn't stop sneezing and I was afraid I would have to take him to the vet. I have given him dried Papaya as treats for a long time, and I have tried withholding it for a few days, with no results. I have now withheld Papaya for over a week, and he is 100% better! I guess it must take Papaya awhile longer to clear the system. Mystery solved.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it will take any allergy some time to clear the system. When we where trying to figure out what my dog is allergic too, the vet said we'd have to wait 4-8 weeks after switching foods to determine if something in the old food was causing his allergies.

Glad Honey is doing better. Poor guy, allergic to papaya.

I'm glad you figured out the cause . It's tough sometimes, I have a dog with multiple allergies so you can imagine how confusing it was .
