Angry Bad Bunny

So we have a beautiful litlle girl that is 8 months old. She has been boxed trained since we got her and has the complete run of the house. We went on a 5 day vacation last month and she stayed home. My mom come over twice a day to play with her and feed her. Ever since we got back she had decided to be a bad bunny. She jumps on the couch and pees, up on my daughters bed and pees. I am at the end of my rope. I don't know what to do with her, but I cant handle carpet cleaning and laundering everything in my house every day. Someone please help.

She's probably not only upset that you guys were gone, but she's reaching the age where she's going to purposely urinate outside of the litterbox. It happens when they reach sexual maturity. The only thing that will change that is getting her fixed. I hope you were planning on doing that..

I mean, you can try essentially re-litter box training if you think it might do some good, reward her with treats and use positive reinforcement when she pees in the litter box, otherwise, she really does need to be spayed.

Is she spayed? She sounds like a normal unspayed teenage bunny to me!

Kudo's to what was said. When Acacia went through her teenager phase I was at my wit's end with her!! It happens that shes sexually mature now and is goin to mark EVERYTHING as hers by peeing and chinning. Spaying drops this almost instantly as the hormones wear off, then you'll find she calms right down.

It is really easy to fix. Just spay her.

If you need a referral for a rabbit knowledgable Vet, contact House Rabbit Society and they will point you in the right direction of a local (to you) Vet. Sometimes, depending on which chapter of House Rabbit Society, they may even have a low-cost spay/neuter Vet to refer.
