Poor little Barnaby, this post will embarass him!
He has this really long wooly hair on his back end, lol. Even though I brush him almost every day, he always gets things caught in his hair there. I think it's hard for him to reach it to clean, and he's gotten small mats there before that I've had to cut out.
I've thought of cutting it before, but never did. However, lately between his long hair, and Zeus shedding like crazy, I thought that maybe it would be a good time to try cutting it - less hair around for them to swallow. That and the fact that everytime Barnaby gets out of the litterbox his rear looks like a pin cushion with all the pieces of hay sticking out of it. It takes the poor guy forever to get all the hay out of his fur.
So Barnaby got his first hair cut today. I didn't cut the fur on his head at all, just his "skirt". The wooly fur looks a lot diffrent than his normal fur, so you can still see where it was long even when it's short. I think he looks cute though, and he seems to like it. As soon as I finished he groomed himself then ran around the room doing binkies.
Here's some pictures I took of him before:
(he thinks he's a dust bunny)
