Smile Bif ate from my hand whoo hooo!!

i know its only a little thing but im sooo chuffed!
bif let me walk past her n oscar snoozing on the carpet several times today without moving..but i did scare them once and they ran off..
On the floor today shes seen me giving oscar a nose rub for an hour (yes his record is 2 but we wont go there!) and decided to bif me with her nose as usual(wonder why shes called Bif?!!) and then she turned back and sniffed my finger and pushed her head towqrd it so i could rub her nose..only 3 very quick nose rubs and she was gone again.
Then later on i moved her bag of dried apple pieces..her treats..and she went crazy and rushed up to me like a cat with a box of cat biscuits!!
I gave her a few little chunks and then put a few more in my hand..and she happily ate out of my hand..nervous at first then did it happily..she was even gentler than oscar..and then i went out into the garden with my hayfever and picked them some fresh grass..and inside she let me finger feed her grass as i was doing it to oscar..

baby steps right? I am not giving up on her shes so loving but terrified..i really do hope this is a good step forward.
sorry just so excited i just had to share!

Thumbs up Aw!

I'm still in the works with my bunny. It seems like he doesn't want anything to do with me... . I hope my relationship with him gets better. I've been trying. But it's hard, because he doesn't like treats! He won't eat anything else but his rabbit food! and on occasion he'll eat lettuce or anything fresh that I put in his cage! But he'll usually just leave it to dry!! Frusterated...but congrats on your achievments!!!!!!

that's great!!

nads - have you tried fruits? fresh banana? raisins?
actually I think Tabby's favorite thing is the tops of broccoli.
I have spent a lot of money on things Tabby didn't like but I just give them to other rabbit owners or the local SPCA so they don't go to waste.

yeah i must admit she made me feel like poo telling me that..but Bif (or biffykins as she gets called) is starting to show amazing trust last few days.
we got a pen..an 8 panel one with cover and for the last 3 days theyve had to be carried out to the pen and back in when we go in and with it being so hot..the evening is perfect for them to cool down in the long grass.
Then once indoors they run round till bedtime..in this heat its so hard for them.
But shes letting me pick her up with hardly any fuss..and when i carry her she hugs me back..no scared bunny noises just head into my face hugs. She also last night came running up to me when i called her name..several times in a row..shes clambered all over my legs..and approaches me now and lets me stroke her head and shes even started asking for very short nose rubs!!

I am sooo happy..but im scared im gonna ruin it all as i need to trim their toenails for them..usually i take them to the vets where a nurse does it..but i think shell be less stressed by me doing it.

i hope i dont blow it with the nail clipping making her fear me.

Shes coming along so slowly but im sooo pleased for her..
Oscar bless him is teaching her obviously.

couldnt agree more..well worth it.

Yeah!! It sounds like she is doing well.

When you clip her nails just try taking the very tip off. Don't try and go too crazy and make sure you follow up with her favorite treat!

she'll probably realize how much better she feels with her claws clipped

my buns have never fussed with the vet when he clips their claws, they act happier after it's done
