Bonding Joey and Phoebe

I'm borrowing luckybunny's idea of creating a sort of log on how the bonding between my two is going.
Day 1 in the tub went wonderfully! I was so proud of them, Phoebe took on the roll of mother and proceeded to groom Joey while he just layed there very still. They didn't nip once. I was so proud of my babies!!!
Hopefully tomorrow will be just as successful when we graduate to the bathroom floor!!!
Wish us luck!!!!

Wow, that's great! It's amazing how well they're getting along on the first day, doesn't seem like you should have any issues .

Day 2 wasn't as great as day 1!
Phoebe started out grooming Joey and then seemed to want to be groomed back. She kept putting her head under his and when he didn't groom her (I guess) she nipped him and he nipped her back. I yelled and clapped my hands and they stopped. When it happened again I decided that they'd had enough and we would try again tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement! Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

The nipping is part of the process and as long as they are not nipping too hard or chasing each other I think it would be okay to let them continue deciding who is boss. When they nip, try pushing their heads down cheek to cheek, say 'be nice'. Hold them there until they seem to relax and then let go. I'm sure you can tell though when to end the session as you don't want either of them to be stressed out.

I can't tell which one of my buns would be the dominant one though. Lucky was more aggressive with nipping and thumping but Molly did the mounting and always has her head down wanting to be groomed...and Lucky grooms her now.
