Sounds like an abcess, she will need to see a vet as soon as you can. I don't mean to scare you but I lost two bunnies to that when they were about that age. If you catch it early, she has the best options. Hope I'm wrong, actually praying I'm wrong. But get her to a vet on Monday. Hugs

Bumps due to infections can rise up very quickly. There's not much you can do until you get the vet's advice. Make sure she is eating and drinking. She will need the nutrients for her immune system.

yeah-the vet wouldnt answer the phone and i tried 4 times so i gave up and came up for my own examination and it appears to have gone down in size and so im wondering if maybe the cat(who is ALWAYS playing with and bugging the buns)maybe got her too hard? i rubbed it and she lay down and began to grind her teeth which is what she does when i rub her the right way...er,that didnt come out right...

im definetly taking her thursday, coz her doc will be there-i really dont think its an emergency b/c im keeping a seriously close eye on her and i think it might have just been swollen..she will see at the vet! thanks for your concerns-she'll make it through now!

Please keep us posted, many years ago after I lost my two bunnies, my littlebunny boy had a spot, I got freaked and at the vet they looked at it and thought it was just an accumulation of fat.

I hope it is just an abcess, which is easily drained!! If it is more soft, than definably abscess, or even as said, fat!! I have not seen her in a long time, She lost some weight? Wow, little facie face getting thin LOL! I remeber those happy sounds she made when you massage her!!

They need more people at the vet as it takes FOREVER to get through now, which is bad!! I should go there and be a reseptionist. I have vollunteered enough lol!!

i hope that your bunny is alright!

i know my old hamster had a large lump on her and it turned out to be a tumor. she died a few months later. i hope its something that can be easily fixed though.
