Question Bunny teeth

Anyone know how healthy rabbit teeth are suppose to look like? Is the top part should be showing up front or the bottom teeth? My bunny isnt much of a chewer but I he chew on apple tree twigs. What you guys think looking at this pic? It doesnt show much but doesnt seem right.

It's kinda hard to tell from that pic... but I'd say he looks normal. The upper teeth should be in front of the lower teeth... the problem with rabbits teeth show up when the upper and lower teeth are not aligned with each other... and so they do not wear down properly. This problem is called "Malocclusion".

Here is a good link so you can see what I mean...
Maloclussion
This causes no end of problems for the rabbit if it's teeth are not regularly trimmed.

The thing I noticed on your rabbit is that his lower lip looks like it's red??

I know I dont know how it happened. I didnt notice until yesterday. When I got my bunny 1 year ago, he got checked out by a vet and his teeth were normal. But now seems like the lower teeth are in front of upper teeth. As I mentioned he doesnt chew much on toys just on apple tree twigs but at leat 75% of his diet is hay...so that should help. Thanks for that link. I will check it out now.

I checked my bunny again and it looks more normal. I think he had his mouth kinda open on that pic so it looked as his bottom teeth were in front of upper teeth. Look at this pic.

his teeth look okay from that pic- as long as when he closes his mouth the front teeth come down over the bottom teeth, and not the other way around. but your bun does look alright to me from your picture. and rabbits also have a way of naturally grinding their teeth down by rubbing them together, so he might be grinding his teeth down that way. my buns don't chew on their toys either, but they do love to chew on those big cardboard tunnel things you can get at the petshop. oh yeah- and all of my wooden furniture.
