Unhappy Charlie is sick.

Charlie went to the vet today for a checkup and she weighs 5.5 pounds, which is .5 pounds up from last year's. I don't understand why she is not eating and why she doesn't gain weight, she's supposed to be 6 pounds in my opinion anyways.
She does have an ear infection and is taking medicine for that (the joy!). She hasn't eaten any pellets or treats for three days now, counting today, but she does eat her veggies and some hay. I am thinking she might have hair clogging her tummy and that is why she is not eating since she has had a lot of hair in her droppings. She won't touch pineapple anymore and I have had no luck finding dried papaya, or papaya of anykind except sweetened with sugar.
The vet said to bring Charlie in if she is still not eating in two/three days from now or if she gets worse. I am just so worried about my little bunny girl!
Caesar has been gone for exactly a year yesterday, I don't want to lose her now too! Please keep Charlie in your thoughts if you can.

Oh no. I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope she gets better. Try massaging her tummy. It might get things moving...

I'm sorry Natalie....just make sure she is still eating and drinking something at least. The ear infection won't be making her feel very good either.
Are you brushing her? If she has fur in her droppings you need to be brushing her regularly (even though she's short haired) cause it will morwe than likely re-occur. If you don't have a brush suitable take her out of the shed and rub her fur up with your hands...it really helps loosen up all that dead hair and that way she won't be digesting it.
If it is fur that is causing her problems they can have an operation to remove the fur ball (I don't know a lot about it) but it may be needed to clean her out. Keep us updated.

Too lazy to even think of a siggy

I'm so sorry . I hope she's ok!

I get unsweetened dried papaya at the health food store...so you could always try that? Just a thought.

Are her poo droppings smaller than usual? Than can be a sign of a hairblock.

A small amount of mineral oil will lubricate the gastrointestinal tract to help the hairball pass.

Hope she feels better soon!

Ok this is for Chins but look at the quote in post 3, it is about rabbits. http://www.paw-talk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21782

You might want to discuss this info with your vet.

If you think it is hairballs, you can use a petrolium base hairball remedy for cats to remove the blockage.

Thanks for the well wishes! Charlie isn't eating much anymore, but still drinking. I caught her munching on some hay earlier. Her droppings are tiny, and they have gotten smaller and smaller. Not a good sign I presume.
I do brush her and have two brushes for her and I they do get a lot of fur out. I also get a lot of loose fur with my hands. There's just so much fur the brush doesn't get or I miss it and she ends up consuming it.
I will definitely ask the vet about the things you guys have suggested. I have made a list already. Thank you!

If she is eating even less now, I would see the vet asap.
