YES very much so. as long as you are willing to double, maybe even tripple your litterbox cleaning.

Absolutely! My buns love it! I don't even use it for their litterbox; it's more of a toy to them. Just give them the sheets whole and let them shred it. 1) It gives them something to do, and 2) It's really cute to watch. It's a little bit of a mess to clean up, but a couple of sheets will keep them occupied for a few days at least.

My bunnies love their newspaper. They love to tear it up and push it all over their cage...and drag it outside their cage as well. Just be sure it's not colored with inks. Does anyone else use "puppy pads"? I use the long diaper changing pads which actually helped me potty train my male Eeyore.

I just crumple some newspaper and throw it in the cages, the rats and mice love it XD and when it's done being trampled and what not, I throw it away, while keeping the actual bedding.
Newspaper doesn't absorb or cover any smell, can actually make things worse
