Don't pee on me bunny!

So, everything is going well with Lucy for the most part, she's pretty good at at using the potty box, except in one situation... she'll be snuggling on the couch with us, and she'll pee right on me or the hubby. she's always so snuggly and happy when she does it. is this normal or a problem?

Usually, urinating in places that are not their designated potty spot is a territorial thing. Almost everything I've read on rabbits suggests spaying/neutering to prevent territory marking. I'm not so sure that is the case with you, but in my experience, once a bunny pees some place, it doesn't take much for them to come to the feeling that they can pee in that spot any time they want from now on.

She sits in her corner, singing herself to sleep.
Wrapped in all of the promises, that no one seems to keep.

Zeus use to do that too, when he was still a baby.

Once he got older, and neutered, his litter box skills greatly improved and he stopped peeing outside his box completly.

Oh, good. She's getting spayed at Xmas time, so hopefully that'll help. In the meantime, I'll just think she's claiming me as her own cause she loves me :-)
